First of all, congratulations on the prestigious Red Dot Design Award. How does it feel?
– It feels fantastic to receive this award. What an honor! It's incredibly rewarding that our design work in the development team is appreciated and recognized by Red Dot's jury. This is huge!
What was the initial background for Regin creating Regio RCX?
– We wanted to create a solution for room control that was simple and intuitive. At the same time, it shouldn't compromise on either design or user-friendliness. It should look good and be discreet on the wall, and easily do what's important for optimal comfort in the room – save energy and create the right indoor climate at the right time. With its many sensors in a compact format, Regio RCX sets a new standard for room controllers, both aesthetically and functionally.
What was your reasoning behind the design of Regio RCX?
– The design language we've chosen is clean and well-thought-out. Regio RCX stands out with its shine-through function that can be turned on, off, and dimmed. It's discreet and minimalist, both in design and use. We've delved into what the user really wants, which is a minimum of information and settings. They want it simple. We can maintain Regio RCX's clean design thanks to the fact that commissioning can now be done entirely using our Regin:GO app.
How has the market received Regio RCX's design and functionality?
– The reception has been very positive. The market has really embraced it, and our customers appreciate both the minimalist design, the user-friendliness, and the easy commissioning. We see this not least in the sales figures since the launch in late spring 2024. Both the product and Regin:GO are highly appreciated. The Regio design concept will also be used in upcoming Regio products later this spring.
What does winning the Red Dot Award mean for Regio RCX?
– This win is a confirmation from the design world that our chosen design direction is absolutely the right path. We will continue to focus on clean and simple design that creates user-friendliness and at the same time reduces buildings' environmental impact by saving energy. This will undoubtedly contribute to more property owners choosing products from Regin. Regio RCX is truly the result of excellent teamwork.
What is the goal for Regio RCX?
– It should be a product that is timeless in its appearance and does what it does best – control indoor comfort so that the people in the room don't even notice that it's working hard to create a demand-adapted indoor climate.
