When Dan Inge Bergland and Jon Olav Østebøvik from the Norwegian company Laugstol asked their supplier Stork for a controller with multiple digital outputs to manage several zones, Regio RCX quickly came into focus. Since then, Regin’s award-winning room controller has become a regular choice for projects on the Norwegian side of the border.
"We’re very pleased with the new room controller," says Dan Inge. "It’s exciting to work with such a forward-thinking product — the design, the display, and being able to configure it via smartphone."
Jon Olav adds:
"It’s a clear improvement that we can now update and configure both on-site and from the office using our phones. That’s a huge advantage."
Whenever Dan Inge and Jon Olav bring Regio RCX to project meetings, both clients and other professionals are consistently impressed by its functionality, flexibility, and design.
"We’re currently working on a retirement home where the temperature in office rooms should be controlled via the display, while the residents’ rooms aren’t locally adjustable. The client is really happy with how well RCX handles that setup," Dan Inge explains.
Jon Olav continues:
"Several of our customers have asked for a room controller with a fresh, modern design. For them, the look of the device really matters — they want something that fits well into the room. So when a product like Regio RCX wins a design award, it makes our job much easier when recommending it."
They also highlight the value of having multiple model variants of Regio RCX. This flexibility helps them match the right product features to the right client needs.
"I’ve seen models with temperature control, motion detection, and humidity sensing built in," says Jon Olav. "Some customers need all of those functions, and it’s great to have them combined in one product. But it’s also helpful that, like in our retirement home project, we can use the same product while only activating selected features. Having these configuration options makes RCX easy to recommend to a wide range of customers."
