Can you present the key features of the new products?
- From the start, our intention was to design a product that seamlessly integrates into larger systems. We've placed a high priority on reliability, demonstrated by our watchdog function, which activates the damper's emergency position in the event of communication loss, which is critical for this type of system applications. Alongside this, we have focused on shortening response times to ensure a system that efficiently addresses smoke or fire incidents. Significantly, a substantial part of the project has centered on the innovative development of the Regin:GO app. This initial release marks just the beginning, and we hold the confidence that other product categories will discover value in future integration with the Regin:GO app.
How have you worked to ensure a user-friendly product?
- Significant attention has been dedicated to the user interface. For instance, to address the need for remote unit identification, we introduced a blue LED light on the damper unit that becomes visible upon connection. Leveraging Bluetooth connectivity, we streamlined unit identification, addressing, and naming procedures. To guarantee a user-friendly product adaptable to diverse setups, we conducted continuous testing both internally and externally during the project. Clear instructions and comprehensive product information were crafted to simplify the connection and utilization of the product.
Could you tell us about the background of the project and how you have met any challenges?
- The smoke controller concept was developed in close collaboration with one of our partners. This led to the development of a solution closely aligned with market demands. As we refined and expanded upon this initial concept, we recognized its potential to benefit a wider range of customers. Additionally, we observed a growing demand for reliable safety solutions within the fire protection sector.
- Throughout the development process, one of the most significant challenges we met was seamlessly integrating a multitude of components. This was particularly crucial due to our focus on developing the Regin:GO app. Thanks to innovative working methods and the strong commitment of every team member, we successfully navigated these challenges. The result is an appealing product where all components collaborate harmoniously, ensuring a truly seamless installation experience.
