Could you provide a brief overview of the project's background and motivations?
- The project was initiated as a strategic step to further enhance our product line. Although the previous version featured a powerful product, it lacked certain functionalities that needed supplementation. Additionally, we observed a growing demand for products that placed greater emphasis on digital signals. As a result, we focused on developing a new model of freely programmable controllers with a more powerful processor, accompanied by new I/O modules suited for digitally intense applications. Moreover, we responded to a request from programmers to run and test the application without physical access to hardware, which led to the development of virtual controllers.
What were some of the challenges the project encountered, and how were they addressed?
- One challenge that we faced was accommodating the number of inputs and outputs in the products. We set high standards for the systems to be well-suited for large applications, capable of handling extensive facilities and heavy data processing. In addition to the project, we placed significant focus on strengthening our agile working methods during this time, which greatly supported the project's outcome. By refining our prioritization and team structure, we welcomed innovative and creative engineering solutions that ultimately resulted in an even better end product.
How does the release strengthen Regin’s offering and what can customers expect in terms of future updates?
- With this release, we believe that we are providing a strong offering to our customers within the systemrange. The enhanced performance empowers a truly flexible and future-proof system, easily adaptable to upcoming updates. We have conducted meticulous field tests with integrators as well as internal and system tests, to ensure high-quality products with excellent usability. Our goal is that, in conjunction with the release of a new touch display, creating attractive user interfaces should be easy. Looking ahead, we will continue expanding our product range where our next step involves launching another I/O module to further enhance our offering and increase flexibility.
