It was a very happy and surprised winner who entered the stage at Nordbygg to receive the award.
- I am absolutely shocked; I never thought we would win. Honestly, this is really very, very important to me. It shows that we are on the right track, placing the right products in the right place to build the right solution, says Reza Hashemi, managing director of Aria Atsez. “It could have been so messy”
Aria Atsez automated the Arman Residential and Commercial Complex in the holy city of Mashhad, Iran. Servicing Muslim pilgrims, the 13-floor centre includes a hotel, apartments, more than 400 shops, restaurants and a giant main hall with waterfalls, ponds and caves.
A project full of challenges, to say the least. The most important one was to choose the right solution: programming the entire system from scratch or working with pre-programmed regulators, configured through a simple cloud solution.
- There was more than 90 air handling units spread out around the building and the client was in a rush and wanted to start up the shopping centre first. This project could have been so messy, complicated and time-consuming. But with the pre-programmed Corrigo we managed to start it up at once, step by step with the entire energy-saving functionality such as outdoor-compensated scheduled time of operation and so on, says Reza Hashemi.
The jury motivated their choice: ”The project saw the automation of a very large and advanced building, without a single programmer being physically present. The standardised solution handled both simple and advanced applications and minimised all error sources during commissioning, service and maintenance. The solution can also easily be upgraded in the future if needed. ”
Keeping the earth clean and green
To Aria Atsez, the award gives recognition to their belief that ready-steady-go devices and simple installation solutions can achieve large energy savings also in big projects.
- With growing populations and more energy consumers causing of lack of resources, it will be vital and mandatory to save energy. The first and main benefit is keeping the earth clean and green, and the second is that it also saves money, says Reza Hashemi.
